We spend all time outdoors filled with adventures, exploration, Safety, Fun and Respect.
All children attending a ROOTS class must be potty trained, in underwear and bathroom independent.
Snacks and Clothes
SNACKS: Please send your child in with a small, healthy snack and their own water. (Please note we honor a NO-NUT policy in all Nature Nurture classes).
WHAT TO WEAR: Play clothes. Durable, if possible, as well as long pants, closed in shoes with a good waffled sole, socks, sweater and/or jacket. Brimmed hats are also helpful.
RAINY DAYS: On any day it IS raining, LOOKS like rain, or HAS rained, please send your child in with rain gear: boots, jacket and even rain pants if she has them. (Rain gear makes all the difference in the world keeping kids warm and dry while sloshing through mud, jumping in puddles and even squatting on the ground while rescuing (returning) a worm from the sidewalk to his family and home in the dirt!).
As we (and our clothes) sometimes get wet, muddy, or simply soiled from being out and about in nature, please feel free to bring a change of clothes for your child when you pick him or her up:
pants, socks, and even shoes if your child will be going somewhere other than home after Nature Nurture.
